Annual Information Return (AIR)

Annual Information Return (AIR) was a reporting system under which specified entities were required to furnish details of certain high-value financial transactions to the Income Tax Department. It helped the department track important financial activities of taxpayers for tax compliance purposes. Over time, this reporting framework was replaced by the Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT).
