At N D Savla & Associates, Chartered Accountants play a central role in managing Direct & Indirect Tax compliances, advising clients, conducting audits, handling scrutiny proceedings, and leading teams. This role offers a blend of technical depth, client interaction, audit exposure, drafting experience, and leadership opportunities.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Direct & Indirect Tax Advisory

  • Advising clients on Income Tax, GST, FEMA, and other regulatory matters.
  • Conducting research on latest amendments, notifications, and circulars.
  • Preparing Transfer Pricing reports and related documentation.

Compliance Management

  • Preparing and filing Income Tax, GST, TDS, and PT returns within statutory timelines.
  • Reviewing GST, PT, and other tax working files prepared by juniors.
  • Preparing GST reconciliations, refund applications, and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual compliances.

Assessments, Appeals & Notices

  • Drafting replies to scrutiny assessments, departmental notices, and summons.
  • Preparing submissions, appeals, and working papers for assessment and appellate proceedings.
  • Visiting departments (IT/GST) for hearings, clarifications, and discussions as required.

Audit & Financial Reporting

  • Conducting statutory, internal, tax, and transfer pricing audits.
  • Reviewing and finalizing books of accounts and financial statements.
  • Visiting client locations for audits and providing on-site advisory when needed.
  • Drafting client audit reports and communicating key observations.

Client Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinating with clients for data collection, queries, and follow-ups.
  • Drafting amendments, tax updates, and professional communication emails for clients.
  • Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and high-quality documentation.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Leading, training, and guiding a team.
  • Reviewing juniors’ work and ensuring adherence to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Assisting in hiring and building department teams when required.

Business Development & Firm Initiatives

  • Supporting business development activities from time to time.
  • Contributing to internal process improvements and organizational development.
  • Attending client/board meetings as required.
